A lot of people think there is one Rock Creek Park.  Not true!  There are more than 5,000 acres of parkland connected with Rock Creek, administered as several separate parks.  The main body of Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC, is over 1,700 acres--more than twice the size of New York's Central Park.
