2016 MLK Weekend of Service Event - Glover Archbold - Davis St. - English Ivy Removal- 1.16.2016

Join Rock Creek Conservancy, the National Park Service, DC
CWMA, and Montgomery Parks as we celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend
of Service. Volunteers will be out at multiple sites from Saturday, January
16th to Monday, January 18th. Tools, gloves, bags and training will be provided
at each site and SSL hours can be earned.
Volunteer Activity: Volunteers will help remove invasive English ivy vines from Trees within the Glover Archbold section of Rock Creek Park.
When: Saturday January 16th from 10:00-12:00.
Where: Volunteer will meet near the intersection of Davis Pl NW and 42nd St NW, Washington, DC 20007. After meeting volunteers Street parking is available. The meeting location is close to the Wisconsin Ave bus lines. After meeting volunteers will walk down the trail to the work site.
What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the weather. It may be chilly so dress warmly and in layers. Wear sturdy boots or sneakers, no sandals.
What to Bring: Bring water. Tools and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them. Students can earn SSL hours, but please bring needed forms
