2016 MLK Weekend of Service Event - Tregaron Conservancy Invasive Removal - 1.18.16

Join Rock Creek Conservancy, and the Tregaron Conservancy, as we celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend of Service. Volunteers will be out at multiple sites from Saturday, January 16th to Monday, January 18th. Tools, gloves, bags and training will be provided at each site and SSL hours can be earned. 

Volunteer Activity: Volunteers will help remove English Ivy from the Tregaron Conservancy grounds. 

When: Monday January 18th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. 

Where: Volunteers will meet at the entrance to Tregaron Conservancy at 3100 Macomb Street NW Washington, DC 20008. Street parking is available. 

What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the weather. It may be chilly so dress warmly and in layers. Wear sturdy boots or sneakers, no sandals. 

What to Bring: Bring water. Tools and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them. Students can earn SSL hours, but please bring needed forms.
