Join Rock Creek Conservancy, and the National Park Service as we celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend of Service.

Volunteer Activity: Volunteers will help remove trash and invasive plant species from the Broad Branch section of Rock Creek Park.

When: Saturday, January 14. 2017 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM.

Where: Broad Branch - Volunteers will meet near the intersection of Nevada Ave NW and 36th St NW. After an introduction and safety talk, the group will walk to the worksite.

What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the weather. Layers and a hat to prevent exposure to the cold is recommended. Wear sturdy boots or sneakers, no sandals. We recommend long pants and sleeves to prevent contact with poison ivy.

What to Bring: Bring water. Tools and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them. Students can earn SSL hours, but please bring needed forms.
