2017 MLK Event - Glover Archbold English Ivy Removal - 1.16.17

Join Rock Creek Conservancy, and the National Park Service as we celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend of Service. Volunteers will be out at multiple sites from Saturday, January 14th to Monday, January 16th. Tools, gloves, bags and training will be provided at each site and SSL hours can be earned.
Volunteer Activity: Volunteers will help remove invasive English Ivy from trees in the Glover Archbold section of Rock Creek Park.
When: Monday, January 16th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Where: Volunteer will meet near the intersection of 44 St NW and Edmunds St NW, Washington, DC 20007
What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the weather. It may be chilly so dress warmly and in layers. Wear sturdy boots or sneakers, no sandals.
What to Bring: Bring water. Tools and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them. Students can earn SSL hours, but please bring needed forms.
