2017 Piney Branch Ribbon Cutting, Picnic, and Planting - 10.28.2017

Join Rock Creek Conservancy, Rock Creek Songbirds, and the National Park Service as we celebrate all of the hard work at Piney Branch, including the installation of a new grill for public use and a fence to protect the wetlands. There will also be a planting in the morning, volunteers are encouraged to come!
Saturday, October 28th
9 a.m. - Volunteer Planting
11 a.m. - Ribbon Cutting and Picnic
Where: Piney Branch Pavilion, Picnic Area 29
What to Bring: If you'd like to join for the planting starting at 9:00 am please register at the link below. The ribbon cutting will begin at 11:00 am. Light refreshments will be served, but participants are encouraged to bring other picnic-area goodies. The grill will be available for use!
What to Bring: Bring water. If you join for the planting, tools and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them. Students can earn SSL hours, but please bring needed forms.
