What is Party in the Park?

Party in the Park is Rock Creek Conservancy’s annual fundraising celebration that supports year-round programs to restore and protect Rock Creek and its watershed. This joyful evening brings together community, nature, food, and music in a uniquely DC setting.

When is Party In the Park?

Carter Barron Amphitheatre

4850 Colorado Ave NW, Washington, DC 20011

Thursday, October 23, 2025, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Nestled in the heart of Rock Creek Park, this historic outdoor venue offers a magical setting for our annual celebration.

Getting There:

You can plug 4850 Colorado Ave NW into your GPS. Once you arrive, look for signs for valet parking, which will be complimentary for all guests. Please bring your valet key if applicable.

After parking, follow the path either:

Across from the parking lot pin in the overhead map,

Both lead you to the Box Office Entrance, where you’ll find the Conservancy check-in tent.

Prefer alternative transportation?

We encourage guests to walk, bike, bus, or take rideshare. The 16th Street bus lines (S2, S9, etc.) have stops nearby, and bike racks are available.

What should I wear?

Think "forest fancy" — a blend of cocktail chic and outdoor-friendly. Many guests will come straight from work, while others may change into something festive.

We’ll be under a tent and walking a path into Carter Barron, so please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate shoes.

What about the weather?

Rain or shine, the party goes on! The event will be held under a tent at the Amphitheatre.

Will there be food and drinks?

Absolutely. Guests will enjoy:

  • A selection of heavy hors d'oeuvres from Founding Farmers Catering

  • Signature chili from Ben’s Chili Bowl

  • Craft cocktails and mocktails + beer and wine

  • Plus, a surprise treat to take home.

What’s happening during the event?

  • A brief program featuring leadership from Rock Creek Conservancy and the National Park Service

  • Kojo Nnamdi, our fabulous event chair, will emcee

  • Performances thanks to the DC Jazz Festival and Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy

  • A live fundraising appeal to help us meet our fundraising goal

  • And yes — plenty of time to mingle, connect, and enjoy Rock Creek’s magic in and close by the majestic Carter Barron Amphitheater
