This October 23rd, Rock Creek Conservancy is holding its annual gala event, the Party in the Park, in the landmark Carter Barron Amphitheater on its 75th Anniversary!

Carter Barron is famous for hosting acts such as Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Wonder, and for staging plays with the Folger Shakespeare Library and Shakespeare Theatre Company.

The Party in the Park, a benefit for Rock Creek and the watershed, will highlight the rich history of Carter Barron, which brought arts & culture to an enormous swathe of DC residents.

The Conservancy is working with the park to restore this "jewel in the crown" of Rock Creek, in a way that focuses the capital on the park's beauty and environmental benefits to everyone in the watershed.

We are thrilled that Kojo Nnamdi is honoring the Conservancy by chairing the Party in the Park!

The Rock Creek community turns out in force for this big annual event, where we expect more than 300 of the District's influential movers and shakers, with backgrounds in diverse businesses, the arts, government policy, environmental organizations, and other sectors.

We can’t wait to see you on October 23rd, when the Rock Creek community gathers to enjoy delicious food and drinks— all under the stars, in the incredible setting of Carter Barron!

The Party’s proceeds support the Conservancy’s work towards a healthy watershed; thriving and resilient forests; a revitalized Carter Barron Amphitheater; and Rock Creek as a natural oasis for all people to appreciate and protect.
