Thank you!

A sold-out crowd of 500 registered runners made the first-ever Run Rock Creek a huge success-thank you to everyone, including our awesome team of volunteers, who took part!

By coming out for the 5K/10K race on Saturday, May 2, the runners helped raise money to improve Rock Creek Park! The 500 registered runners from across our community, ranging in age from 5 all the way to 86. The weather was perfect for a run or a walk in the park, with clouds clearing to reveal the sun for our awards ceremony. Runners, walkers, volunteers, and community members enjoyed coming together to celebrate recreation in Rock Creek Park.

Russ Inman, a Conservancy leader who helped conceive and plan this first-ever event, said “Run Rock Creek was a big success in that we were able to gather people who use the park regularly, many of whom who are new to the Conservancy, paving the way for future dialogue, fundraising, and volunteering opportunities.”

We would like to send a warm thank you to our sponsors, who made the event possible. Our Gold-level sponsors for the event were Thesis Personal Training and Nestlé. Midas Stretch, Innerve8 Medical LLC, and Willow Botanicals were our Silver-level sponsors. Finally, a thank you to our in-kind sponsors, New Balance, Bethesda Bagels, H&H Bagels, and Shake Shack. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Stay tuned for information on Run Rock Creek 2027!
